Insulation / Air Sealing
Throughout the year, the key to keeping your home in Syracuse and Oswego comfortable is making sure you limit the amount of air loss throughout your house. Even when your windows and doors are closed, they can become a silent escape hatch for air. Loss of heat and or air conditioning means that your HVAC equipment must work harder to produce more. Especially during the winter season, ice build up can also occur causing costly roof, ceiling and pipe damage.
Monthly utility bills can rise steadily when your HVAC equipment is working overtime to account for this air loss. This means you could be losing money every second of the day.
Zerodraft will help you keep a lid on your Syracuse, Cazenovia or Auburn area home and make sure it’s airtight. We use state-of-the art products installed by highly trained, certified technicians. Every product we use is environmentally friendly and completely safe when properly installed. Our process is simple because we examine your home, find the problem and then fix it.
Many in the industry regard the Zerodraft approach to insulation as the most cost-effective means of containing heat and stopping uncontrolled air leakage to date. The building continuity and air barrier systems that Zerodraft employs have been in practice for over 30 years. The focus is always on air sealing and achieving the highest R-value possible within the given surface.
At Zerodraft, we focus on sealing outer walls, ceilings, windows, doors and floors. Our technicians also look to seal holes in ductwork, attics, basements and crawl spaces, which can also be responsible for air loss in your home.
To insulate and seal your home we use 1 and 2 component polyurethane spray foam insulation and cellulose insulation. We also measure the effectiveness of the insulation using a variety of R-Values.
Before we begin the sealing process, we will schedule a meeting to discuss your home and provide you with specific product information. We believe that our products work very well and the service is cost effective and safe. Most importantly, you will be comfortable in your newly sealed home and you will save money on your energy bill!

Spray Polyurethane Foam Insulation
Spray foam is arguably one of the best methods to insulate and air seal any surface with a single product. Spray foam insulation consists of environmentally safe synthetic material that fills gaps and holes, has excellent insulation values and blocks air movement. Our polyurethane spray foam consistently outperforms traditional fiberglass insulation in R-value, life expectancy, and sustainability over time.

Cellulose insulation is one of the most cost effective means to insulate most common building surfaces. Zerodraft is capable of blowing cellulose in a loose fill attic space to any desired R-value, or using a high-pressure system to densely pack a wall surface, guaranteeing the product will not dramatically settle over time. The cellulose material is a combination of recycled newsprint and fire retardant chemicals. It is resistant to rodent infestation and carries a high R-value per inch. The material retains its R-value well after traditional fiberglass will degrade and deteriorate.
